The object of research are associative youth associations, different in activity (not institutionalized groups of interests and the youth movements, and also officially legalized youth associations), the social groups and age categories of youth representing all range. The subject of research are features of process of an institutionalization in the most widespread forms of public participation of youth, contradictory processes of its self-organization in various of public associations. The purpose - to analyse features of public activity of youth of Ukraine in the conditions of its modernization, its ability to creation of public initiatives in the context of an institutionalization of public participation at the level of the state: legal fixing of rules of functioning of socially useful youth initiatives and new youth movements. Practical tasks of the project: ? to investigate features of manifestations of public activity (participation) in different social and economic categories of youth and to define the main stages of its institutionalization in the conditions of transformational processes in Ukraine. ? to define and make offers concerning changes and additions in acting legislative and the normative legal acts concerning realization of the state youth policy (in particular in the Law of Ukraine "About volunteer activity" in the context of implementation of the program of the European Union "Youth in activity"). ? to find out compliance of institutional policy of authorities (the existing youth legislation) to full development socially useful participations of youth, legal to fixing of the corresponding character of youth initiatives and informal the practician of self-organization. ? to define prospects of an institutionalization informal the practician of self-organization of youth, formation of youth public structures (organizations) as full-fledged subjects in the solution of social and economic and sociocultural problems of different social - age categories of youth of Ukraine in connection with the approval by the President of Ukraine on January 25, 2012 of Strategy of a statepolicy of assistance to development of civil society. The main results of research. Besides, it was prepared and carried out sociological the Internet of research of public activity of youth for the purpose of determination of ability to creation of public initiatives, main tendencies of its self-organization, development of youth associations, influence of the latest information technologies on these processes and other indicators of the institutionalized civil society. During teoretiko-methodological judgment of a perspective and studying of the corresponding scientific and special literature on public activity of youth and prospects of an institutionalization of this process it was revealed that idea of the increased social activity of youth didn't become guaranteed dominating. The analysis of motivation of social activity of youth testifies that the young citizen, shares democratic principles and procedures, not always is on "front line" in the political sphere. Thus, increase of civil activity of youth, proceeding from ideological installations perhaps, obviously, since medium-term prospect. The analysis of ways of public participation of the Ukrainian youth showed that young people are insufficiently focused on institutional forms of social activity (the organization and association) and adhere to participation in functioning of informal groups. Except tendency of youth to public participation and volunteering, the youth willingly prefers participations in single actions and actions. Popularity of the corresponding formats of public participation can testify, as to insignificant activity of the public youth organizations, and about the low level of knowledge of youth of other options of social activity. It once again testifies to artificiality of process of a number of public organizations and discrepancy of main objectives and the program of activities for requirement of local initiatives.
