Within the framework of the project, the LuAG volumetric crystals have been obtained by Czochralski method. The shards of crystals have been used as raw material for further experiments on growing single-crystal fibers. 29 fibers of LuAG and 15 fibers of LuAG:Ce in length up to 25 cm have been grown by micro-pulling down method. It has been established that the reason for a low radiation stability is an increased impurity content of Gd, Si, C in a raw material. The LuAG:Ce fibers with improved radiation stability have been grown from the purified raw material.
