The purpose of the work is synthesis of sterically shielded aryl derivatives of imidazol-2-ylidenes and 1,2,4-triazol-5-ylidenes and their palladium complexes study of the structure and catalytic efficiency of complexes in the reaction of haloarene hydrodehalogenation, transformations of 1,2,4-triazol-5-ylidenes with electrophiles. Methods of the research are synthetic , kinetic , spectral (NMR spectroscopy ) analytical, chromatoghrafical, elemental analysis), quantum chemical, X-ray diffraction study. Basic results. Sterically shielded aryl substituted imidazol-2-ylidenes and 1,2,4-triazol-5-ylidenes and salt palladium complexes on their basis have been synthesized. A monomeric character of palladium complexes of imidazol-2-ylidenes with branched aryl substituents and a dimeric (binuclear) character of complexes with 2,6-diisopropylphenyl (dipp) substituents have been established. The high catalytic effect of sterically shielded complexes with branched aryl substituents relative to dipp-substituted and sterically open. A stable spirocyclic compound a derivative of 1,2,4-triazolo-spiro-pyrrolinthione was synthesized by the reaction of 1,2,4-triazol-5-ylidene with phenylisothiocyanate and dimethyl acethylene dicaroxylate. A new transformation of 4-bromoaniline was found under the alkylation by benzhydrole in the acidic medium that as a result of substitution of bromine to benzhydryl gives 2,4,6-trisbenzhydrylaniline. The data obtained have significance for the preparative synthesis of stable carbenes, transition metal carbene complexes as catalysts of organic reactions and for the heterocyclic synthesis.
