Description
The object of research are cave complexes of Kiev-Pechersk Lavra. Purpose - to identify key factors (natural, technogenic, man-made), affecting the overall condition of the caves and the state of the rock massive that contains caves; temperature and humidity conditions. Methods - collection and analysis of materials of previous investigations, monitoring the technical condition, temperature and humidity conditions, moisture structural elements, ground massive moisture, nature of the moisture movement in the ground massive, groundwater regime, the nature and direction of groundwater movement, conditions of formation and distribution aquifer above the cave fields, analysis and systematization of the results. The research and developed of practical recommendations will allow to move from spontaneous action in an attempt to normalize the operating conditions of cave systems and eliminate local manifestations of negative processes to evidence-based approach to develop measures aimed at protecting the caves.
