The mechanisms of the inhibition of PTP1B and other protein tyrosine phosphatases by phosphorus-containing derivatives of fullerenes and selective action of tetraazamacrocycles on activity of TC-PTP were established. Nitroxyl mono- and biradicals as well as new aurone derivatives have been studied as possible antioxidants and inhibitors of xanthine oxidase.
