Object: theoretical and methodological principles for organization of scientific and technical documentation (STD) in archival institutions of Ukraine. Purpose of the research: determination of the content of basic technological processes to organize the development of STD in archival institutions of Ukraine. Methods of the research: conceptual, typological, comparative analysis, structural and functional analysis. Technological processes of work with STD in national archival institutions have not yet been defined in regulatory-legal acts of Ukraine. This led to the determination of modern approaches to the theory and practice of archival work with STD, including general current requirements applicable to work with archival documents and in archival institutions activity. Based on this study was formulated the content of main technological processes to work with STD in scientific and technical archives (archival subdivisions) in enterprises and organizations and state archives of Ukraine. Defined in the research regulations to develop STD are to serve as the basis for the appropriate rules which after their entry into force will be used in the activity of archival institutions of Ukraine.
