Water-insoluble sensitive elements with improved optical quality for fiber-optic biosensor systems based on the purple membranes with predetermined size and embedded quantum dots in them that retain the unique characteristics of the photocycle of bacteriorhodopsin for monitoring the chemical substances in vapor-gaseous mixtures, and in aqueous solutions, which can be successfully used in ecology, medicine, and for control of technical processes was developed.
