The purpose of research is to determine the components of the mental health of individuals and the factors that influence it’s transformation in a modern society. Methods of research: general scientific methods of theoretical and empirical research (particularly: analysis, synthesis and compilation of basic concepts, ordering material, comparison and integration of data). The empirical part was accomplished by means of such methods as: observation, questionnaires, psychological diagnostics (Repertory Grid Technique by J. Kelly), content analysis, ascertaining experiment, mathematical methods of data processing. Theoretical and practical significance of these results is that the most important factors on their basis that actively affects on the individual’s mental health are identified; the major characteristics and features of the transformation of mental health in modern society conditions are determined; the relations between the balance of the semantic space and mental health, spiritual values and mental health, morality and individual mental health are found. The results obtained in the research can be used for the further exploration of the preservation’s and promotion’s features of the individuals’ mental health as a part of the modern people’s health. Research data will be useful to everybody who carries on research and development of methodological studies on the problems of modern personality. Based on the obtained results of practical recommendations there training programs and methodological support courses on «Health Psychology», «Psychology of personal growth», «Gender Psychology», «Ethnopsychology», «Psychology of suicide», «Psychological practical for special courses», «Psychology of addictive behavior» and others are prepared and deepen. The programs of active forms of group work, socio-psychological trainings aimed at the establishment and deepening of the moral sense, spiritual values of the individual are developed and implemented in the practice of secondary and higher educational institutions of Kherson city; there are elaborated the educational hours for students which will contribute to the preservation and improvement of their mental health. In the section 1 there is defined the relation between individual’s health and the structure of society. It is examined the theoretical basis of the study of a healthy lifestyle. There is also analyzed ethnic, national and religious differences in the healthy lifestyle formation, as well as the potential of religious organizations and ethno-national traditions in the breeding of personality’s moral culture, which can and should be rationally used for the human benefits. Section 2 is devoted to the review and analysis of gender equality as a guarantee of mental health and development of society. It covers such concepts as media and gender, power and gender, education and gender etc. It is presented the results of empirical study of modern youth gender equality. There a close relation between the mental health and psychosemantic architecture features of self-consciousness is revealed in the section 3. The repertory approach used in the empirical research is effective in identification and adequate reflection of psychosemantic self-consciousness structure. Section 4 highlights the features of the spiritual sphere of contemporary Ukrainian students. It is found that the spiritual values of students are the basis of spiritual health. The features of the spiritual values development in the process of professionalization are identified. In the section 5 there are lightened up the problems of health in the context of social and economic reforms in Ukraine. It is proved that nutrition is one of the main factors in human health forming. It is also described the main features of the Ukrainian population’s nutrition and shown their health impact. The analytical research of theoretical and methodological importance of ritual in the course of normal and neurotic personality’s development is conducted. Section 6 is devoted to the analysis of the place and role of archetypes in the individual’s mental health. It is proved that mental health is determined not only by conscious but also by unconscious processes, since all known psychic phenomena have been already present in the natural state of unconsciousness. Section 7 contains an overview of the individual’s moral development problem in the modern society. This problem acquires particular importance for youth, because the adolescence period is characterized by the personality’s futuristic orientation, creates a favorable psychological basis for opening experience. The art is stated as one of the factors stimulating the development of the personality’s moral sphere. The endured feelings and comprehending ideas as a result of perception and subsequent analysis of art works, can become the regulator of the further individual behavior.
