For examinations on rise of operational performances the junction consisting of "support" and "pivot" has been used as the base. Preliminary experiments have shown, that technology of atmospheric thermal nitriding traditionally used in industrial conditions does not allow to gain necessary adhesiveness performances for deposited coatings Therefore, the alternative process of the ionic nitriding of a bottom in a nitrogen tenuous atmosphere has been developed. At carrying out of this process the necessary temperature mode of processing of a surface at which, on the one hand, did not exceed temperature of tempering detail was provided, and with another - demanded parameters of hardening (depth and hardness) were reached. Comparative trials of the working performances of the bottoms nitrated in factory and laboratory conditions, have shown, that the ionic nitriding can take the place of the thermal atmospheric process. As protecting coatings on the friction pair surfaces for friction coefficient decrease various nitrides (TiN for " support " and MoN for "pivot") were used. By results of the tentative process of complex ionic-plasma process (nitriding plus protective coating deposition) on full-scale breadboard models of details was approved. Thus depth of hardening in a surface layer has made 100 microns at an average level of microhardness Н = 5 GPa. Sheetings deposited over this bottom to 10 microns in thickness had with it a good adhesion and the high level of a microhardness reaching 27 GPa.
