The object of the study is theoretical and methodological foundations of project-based management of sustainable and safe development of the region. The aim is to develop and improve the theoretical and methodological foundations of project-based and process management approach social - ecological - economic and humanitarian business entities and sustainable development of the region as a factor of economic security in the knowledge economy, synergetic paradigm in economics paradigm and process of project management. Research Methods - systematization and analytical method, methods of technical and economic calculations, modeling, solution of situational problems, forecasting, statistical data processing method. The structure of process management approach social - ecological - economic and humanitarian sustainable development of the region in the era of knowledge economy, synergetic paradigm in economics paradigm and process of project management. Recommendations for the use of the process approach management of socio-ecological, economic and humanitarian sustainable development of the region; concept of harmonization of economic activity; the concept of the knowledge economy as prerequisites for sustainable development of enterprises in the region. Done scientific justification conditions of economic security business entities as property management; situational diagnosis management of economic security business entities. The method of administration of the study on harmonization of activities; main provisions project-oriented management of regional development; Potential mechanisms of management in terms of cross-border cooperation.
