Cultural, morphological and physiological features of 7 organisms were characterized. Considerable number of isolated microorganisms might be the producers of biologically active compounds for use in biotechnology, medicine and so on. The isolated microscopic fungi Geomyces pannorum and Mucor circinelloides were characterized by increased activity to synthesize and accumulate biologically active lipids, fatty acids. In these fungi level of fatty acids were determined with use of gas chromatography and mass spectrometry. The fatty acids amount differed depending on the culture conditions (using waste food acid content increased significantly). In isolated bacterial cultures physiologically important enzymes and the ability to assimilate on several substrates were discovered with help of microbiological analyzer Vitek-2. Fungicidal and bactericidal effect of Pseudonadsoniella brunnea and bacterial cultures to phytopathogenic fungi and bacteria were detected. The Collection of technologically potential strains of microorganisms has been supplemented by two new species of microscopic fungi and 4 species of bacteria that are the producers of biologically active compounds.
