A method of surface preparation of samples, establish conditions for In film deposition and identify modes of laser irradiation for doping the CdTe surface layer and obtaining barrier structure. Modes of laser treatment for stimulated etching of the CdTe surface established. It is shown that laser irradiation of samples with pre-deposited In film doping takes place and the formation of the p-n junction in the surface layer of the crystal. The electrical and photoelectric characteristics are investigated. Parameters of the experimental diodes with p-n junction of In/CdTe/Au show the effectiveness and the prospects of the developed method for creating detectors of X-ray and gamma radiation.
