The object of investigation - medicinal plants Matricaria chamomilla, Silybum marianum, Digitalis purpurea, Hypericum perforatum, Bidens tripartite, Salvia officinalis. The aim of research - developing radiation biotechnology to increase producing and isomeric variation secondary metabolites of medicinal plants in vitro for raise their pharmaceutical value. The methods of investigation - radiobiology, spectrophotometric, biochemical, physiological, statistical. The doses of seeds' acute irradiation were chosen and experimentally verified for medicinal plants: Matricaria chamomilla, Silybum marianum, Digitalis purpurea. It was shown that such doses led to increasing biomass and secondary metabolites synthesis. Literature research about growing medicinal plants methods, secondary metabolites (flavonoides) extracting and definition was also carried out. It was shown that presowing seeds' acute exposure led to increasing dry flower mass (under 5-50 Gy) and stimulating plant growth of Matricaria chamomilla (under 5 and 10 Gy). It was established that acute Matricaria chamomilla seeds' exposure under 5, 10, 20 and 35 Gy led to increased general yield of flavonoids extract per plant and per unit area of crop. Obtained data demonstrated the existence of positive correlation between irradiated seeds' germination and growth stimulation. Nevertheless, there was inverse relationship of flower amount per plant and average flower mass with seeds' germination. Silybum marianum seeds' radiation exposure under 10, 20, 35 and 50 Gy accelerated the plant passage into generative phase, but did not led to accelerated aging related to control. According to obtained data the thesis for International conference were prepared and accepted for publication.
