There are the core element of the cauliflower mosaic virus 35S promoter and either the DRE element from Arabidopsis thaliana COR15a gene or the ICE one from DREB1B gene promoter. The transription features of bifunctional reporter GFP-lichenase gene in plants of Nicotiana excelsior were investigated by transient expression method. It was shown that under temperature reduction the 35S-DRE promoter proved significantly higher expression of reporter gene in comparison to both the control one bearing the core element of the 35S promoter and synthetic 35S-ICE promoter. Potato and winter canola cultivars were selected for future experiments for stable genetic transformation. The transformation protocols were proposed.
