The object of study - the impact of the environment on the competitive potential of the company. The aim is working recommendations to strengthen the competitive potential of enterprises and improvement of strategic management. During the research systematic and comprehensive approaches were used. Methods: sociological methods, traditional methods of economic analysis, economic-mathematical methods, method of expert evaluations, PEST - analysis, SWOT- analysis, PCTEG- analysis. Data processing was carried out using computer technology and software. During the implementation: generalized definition of the environment; made the methodology which consists of complex of the methods of analysis of the external environment; researched the influence of the environment on the competitive potential of the company on the basis of this methodology. Results of research: the methodology of analysis of the external environment of direct and indirect effect on the competitive potential of the company; obtained methodology of analysis, the results of which can be improved strategic management to strengthen competitive potential. The study was conducted at PJSC "Starokostyantynivsky plant of press-forging equipment."
