Object of research - potential energy crops, economic and environmental efficiency of alternative energy from raw materials of plant origin. Objective - development of conceptual framework and scientific methodic justification conduct of economic and environmental assessment of the energy potential of crops and efficiency of production on the basis of bio-energy in ensuring environmentally sound development of landscapes. Research methods - settlement and constructive analogy, heuristic, statistical observation, comparison, monographic, abstract logic, induction and deduction, analysis and synthesis of ascent from the abstract to the concrete and vice versa, the system-structural, economic and mathematical modeling. Apparatus - scientific developments, legal documents, statistics. Scientific novelty: reasonable prospects of production of energy crops in key sectors at the regional level; expanded criteria of economic and environmental assessment of the energy potential of crops in the context of sustainable development landscapes of the region; expanded criteria for bioenergy industry impact study to ensure the competitiveness of rural areas and some agricultural groups in the context of sustainable development of landscapes; the basic measures to improve agriculture production structure in order to optimize energy-intensive cultivation of crops and ensure balanced development of landscapes at the regional level; the main directions for improving conduct economic and environmental assessment of the energy potential of crops and increase production efficiency on the basis of bioenergy. The practical value of the work consists in expanding the criteria for economic and environmental evaluation of energy crops and the potential formation of a set of measures to improve the structure of agriculture production in order to optimize the cultivation of energy crops at regional level. Theoretical and practical suggestions can be used to improve the economic efficiency of agricultural production through the formation of its own energy resources potential of agricultural enterprises taking into account the specific features of the region and ensure the competitiveness of agricultural products.
