Due to the results of the investigations made in the current year, from the brown Carpathian cows under research there had been gained the young stock in the amount- 50 heifers and 65 calves of the Buk line (Volovetz rayon); 53 heifers and 87 calves of the Bublik line (Mizhgirskiy rayon); 49 heifers and 56 calves (Tyachiv rayon). There had been established, that the live weight of heifers when being born made up - 29,8-31,3 кg, to the age of 6-months made up 162,1-165 кg. The best heifers development had been obtained from the bulls of Bublik and Karavan, comparing to those, of the bull Buk. A full characteristics of the heifers’ conformation had been made and the indexes of the body composition had been defined.As to the preservation of the Hutzul breed horses, together with the Polish experts, there had been worked out the “Polish-Ukrainian strategy of bringing the Hutzul horse into its own natural environment till 2025”. The given program includes the following chapters: methods of breeding, selection, minimal demands to the horses qualities, work with the lines, work with the dam’s families, training and approbation, peculiarities of the feeding and keeping technologies, genealogic lines scheme, modern tendencies as to the use of the Hutzul horses.
