popup.description2
The subject of the research is development of individual Respiratory Protective Equipment (RPE) for employees of Coke and Coal Chemical Industry (CCCI), such as dust filtering protection means intended to protect from air suspended matter of various origin (dust, smoke, fog) and gas and dust filtering means that protect from air suspended particles and toxic gases; gas-protection elements with visual indication of "activation" of dynamic absorption tank (PGE-I). Purpose of the research is development, setup, manufacturing and industry environment operational study of technical characteristics and ergonomic properties of test samples of RPE, targeted for prevention of occupational illnesses in CCCI of Ukraine that employs about 29 thousands employees on 13 factories. Compliance of the import-substitutional RPE with improved protection, hygiene and operation characteristics to the requirements of DSTU has been achieved by development of series of original ergonomic constructions of half-masks "Eol" FF P2", "Eol" FM Gas1 P2", "Platan" that are equipped with PGE-I and low-temperature catalyst of oxidation of Carbon (II) Monoxide. For the first time in Ukraine test pilot batch of means of RPE with PGE-I elements for employees of CCCI has been manufactured, allowing quick visual detection of leaks of sorption materials inside the mask during continuous use. It means that for the first ever employees can perform continuous control of effectiveness of RPE without assistance of Occupational Safety and Health Department. Usage of the next-generation RPE not only will help to prevent occupational diseases, but will also reduce Occupational Safety and Health expenses through rationing and rational use of RPE. The developed RPE is competitive not only because of their ergonomic, technical and operational properties, but also because of their lower cost, which is 1.5-2 times lower than cost of foreign analogues.
