The features of appearance and development of the faults of main constructive units of electric machines under their longtime operation and repairing were grounded. The influence of a change of main constructive units and elements of electric machines on electromagnetic, energy, heating and vibration processes was investigated. A novel methods and means for diagnostics of main constructive units and electric machines in a whole were developed, as well as methods for forecasting their reliability features. The possibilities of use derived results for testing operations and monitoring of electric machines with long-term mean time between failures was confirmed.
