Films alloyed with composite materials on the basis of Ti and Zr (alloying elements were Cr, Al, Y, Re, etc.), and also coatings on a basis of high-entropic alloys are created. The basic performances of the films are explored. Necessity and a reality of making of barrier layers on zirconium fuel element jacket which provide blocking of catastrophic development of an emergency in a water-cooled and water-moderated nuclear reactor at loss of the heat transfer medium and not controlled growth of temperature throughout not less than 3600 seconds at the temperature being to 1100оС is offered, realized and experimentally proved. (Without such coatings the zirconium jacket in such condition "burns down" during some seconds). This time gives the chance to atomic power station operation personnel to take measures for a stopping of development of the accident. Processes of diamond coatings synthesis are optimized. It has allowed to gain thick plates and to create on their basis radiation-resistant and heat-resistant detectors of an ionizing radiation.
