Select the pattern of the process of healing the defects in the metal during its plastic deformation. Modification of the surface layers of metal samples with the help of plastic deformation, as well as the application of protective coatings based on refractory compounds are conducted. For a number of structural steels studied the patterns of change in the coercive force, cyclic and fretting fatigue tests. The efficiency of the coercive force method in terms of assessing the level of structural state degradation of steels. Fixed the durability increasing of 40H steel with the partially degraded structure by plastic deformation of the surface, as well as 20H13 steel and PT-3V alloy under fretting fatigue when using protective coatings. The results can be used in power plants and other enterprises of the fuel and energy complex, machine-building enterprises.
