The results of numerical studies of the properties of the virtual cathode, which is formed in a ribbon electron beam moving in a strong longitudinal magnetic field between parallel conducting plates are given. Design development and manufacturing of a vacuum system, stable power supply solenoids and water cooling of electromagnetic isotope separators were made. Experimental study of the beam current of the accelerator based on the pyroelectric ceramic was conducted.
