Research object: state regulation of the health care system. Research purpose: theoretical substantiation of ways of improvement of mechanisms of state management of the health system. Research methods: logical, historical, analysis, synthesis, statistical analysis, comparison, modeling. Research results and their novelty: first comprehensive mechanism of state management of the development of the health system in Ukraine have been proposed, structure of financing healthcare with the introduction of health insurance have been revealed; technology of the state administration of standardization of medical care and health insurance have been improved.
