Effects of slag basicity, temperature and gas phase composition on processes of oxidation and evaporation in silicate melts were studied. Conditions to maximize nano-sized manganese ferrite spinel yield are revealed. Flowcharts for producing hydrogen by thermochemical water splitting using metallurgical waste are developed. Effect of the main synthesis parameters of an electrolytic and reduced iron powders on their technological and physicochemical properties was studied. Technology to produce iron powder with advanced properties by combined reduction of the rolling mill scale was developed.
