Results: On the basis of a unified methodology, the following algorithms developed using formalized methods of linear algebra and mathematical programming of minimization of linear and quadratic functionals under quadratic constraints, are proposed: 1. Estimation algorithms of star tracker matrix orientation using the recognition results of the stars in the star tracker (ST) according to the stars onboard catalog, and the measurements of coordinate of their projections on its focal plane (on the CCD or CMOS image sensor); 2. Estimation algorithm of the quaternion of mutual orientation of the two STs on the results of observation of output information of each of them, that is estimates of the STs orientation quaternions with respect to the inertial coordinate system (ICS) in flight conditions; 3. Using the results of the point 2 there is provided an algorithm for obtaining high-precision orientation estimation using two or more STs, arbitrarily selected from the group of N STs on the recognition results of the stars caught in the view field of the STs and the corresponding measurements specified in point 1. This estimate is superior on accuracy to any estimate obtained by any of the STs at their autonomous functioning. The algorithm preserves the operability (with less accuracy) during illumination of (N-1) arbitrary STs by the Sun. A generalization of the algorithms for constructing equally accurate coordinate system on the results of synchronous measurements of two STs is proposed.
