Study Purpose - creation of new starting material and, on its basis, of winter wheat varieties resistant to biotic and abiotic environmental factors with further implementation of them in production. Study Methods - hybridization, selection, tests for winter hardiness, resistance to lodging, drought, shedding, diseases and pests, grain quality. Results. Winter wheat varieties were created and submitted to the State variety trials: in 2014 - Pyshna (a universal variety, winter hardiness 7.5 points, drought tolerance 8 points, extraordinary lodging resistance, potential yield capacity 9.0 t/ha, excellent grain quality); in 2015 - Vygadka, Korovaina (intensive varieties, medium high, winter hardiness above the average, high grain quality, yield capacity 9.0 t/ha, resistant to major diseases and lodging).
