Zalitok, I.H. Lobanovska. - Kyiv, 2015. - 58 p. Research object is a process of creation of subject library information resources for the educational sphere of Ukraine. Research aim is a development and specification of organizational, theoretical, methodical and technological principles concerning the formation of library information resources for the educational sphere of Ukraine. The following research methods were used: theoretical (analysis, synthesis, abstraction, generalization, analogy, extrapolation, modeling, hypothesis) and empirical ones (observation, enquiry, rating, study and generalization of experience, experiment). Modern science and education orientate towards the newest research, which is impossible to be carried out without modern library information resources, because library influences directly the quality of educational and research activities. Library information resources are the set of ordered documents stored in a library in order to meet informational, research, educational and cultural needs of users. The role of libraries is constantly increasing and changing significantly under conditions of the global process of information society forming. It is impossible to improve the process of providing information support to users if there is no scientific research, and it is necessary the library should increase the efficiency of access to information and provide various kinds of services. Building up the library collection in accordance with the profile of the institution and the information needs of users is still an important task of the subject library. Profile principle is a fundamental one in the process of collection acquisition. Taking into consideration that there were traditional and electronic subject information resources in V.O. Sukhomlynskyi SSPL of Ukraine it was decided to form digital collections, full-text document repository and arrange an electronic library and electronic catalogue. The librarians have developed scientific principles for analytical-synthetic processing of the input document flow into the complex collection of education libraries. Information retrieval languages used in the process of document study were investigated, and it was proved that only the complex use of them gives an opportunity to process the input polythematic document flow of the library. It is established that the development of corporate networks, introduction of such forms of cooperation as the creation of union electronic catalogues and databases, interlibrary access to information resources require automated cataloguing in one and the same format following rules and regulations equal for all. The problem of authority control was also studied, as well as its role in bibliographic records uniform; it helps to avoid mistakes while database creation and developing electronic catalogue. The scientists defined and justified the perspective directions in making interlibrary projects for innovative development of education libraries of Ukraine, in particular through the formation of the union databases. The content of the subject information resource is revealed by means of the method of analytical-synthetic processing of the input document flow into the complex collection of education libraries and formation of reference aids taking into consideration corporate bases, as well as the creation of bibliographic products. The library holdings of rare and important editions, which constitute a national heritage of Ukraine has been researched. Textbook collection in natural-mathematical subjects was studied for the first time, and in the course of this process one of the biggest national collections of educational publications was systematized in order to show the traditions of national textbook creation, to understand the peculiarities of the development of this pedagogical phenomenon, its social, socio-cultural and other background. Scientific-methodical principles for the maintenance of the activity of education libraries under the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine were developed. The degree of introduction: scientific products have been spread among education libraries of MES of Ukraine and NAPS of Ukraine for practical introduction of research results into the process of providing information support to the specialists in the sphere of education. The sphere of application: V.O. Sukhomlynskyi SSPL of Ukraine, the system of education libraries of MES of Ukraine and NAPS of Ukraine, libraries of other systems and establishments. Practical significance of the results: scientific results will provide theoretical, organizational, technological and methodical principles for the activity of V.O. Sukhomlynskyi SSPL of Ukraine and the system of education libraries under MES of Ukraine and NAPS of Ukraine concerning the creation and further development of the subject information resources. Economic efficiency: intensification of research activity and educational process in the educational sphere of Ukraine through the creation of fundamentally new means of searching for and using scientific information.
