The procedure of mating of bulls to dams to get bulls for preliminary evaluation in conditions of Ukraine was developed. The joint database on genealogy and economic traits of dairy cattle was created, methods of getting progeny from tested bulls were developed, evaluation of sires and cows using Animal Model BLUP was done and genetic trends for milk production, reproduction and longevity were estimated.
