New knowledge on the molecular mechanisms of the formation of biodiversity according to the quantitative traits of types and breeds of sheep had been obtained. Also were identified the correlations between the marker genes and the level of development of productive qualities of sheep breeds of different productivity trends. The methodology of effective evaluation of breeding sheep by a complex of the molecular genetic markers had been worked out. The conceptual approaches of the assessment of the selective value the integrated genotypes of animals and the methodological features of their using to optimize the selection process in sheep breeding had been substantiated.
