Objective: To study the scientific content of education for children with hearing impairment and personality development oriented technologies in the context of implementation of socio-cultural approach. Methods: Theoretical: analysis of philosophical, psychological, pedagogical and methodological literature, learning and generalization teaching experience, comparative analysis. Empirical: methods of educational and psychological diagnostics (psychological-pedagogical observation, questionnaire, survey students, parents and teachers of educational institutions), analysis of student work and teaching documents. Results characterizes current trends in education of people with hearing impairments: interdependence of social and educational events that determine the transformation of special education, including its form, content; adoption of the social model of understanding hearing loss; priority personality oriented, active and educational competency approaches; dytynotsentryzm opposed predmetotsentryzmu. The concept of a national system of education of persons with hearing impairment in Ukraine and determined principles of the conceptual provisions. Discovered medical-technical and socio-pedagogical factors of learning middle school students with hearing impairments. Defined scientific principles of developing content basic level of education for children with hearing impairments, compliance of general education; adapting requirements to the peculiarities of perception, speech development, learning and presenting knowledge children with hearing impairment. Theoretically grounded and developed basic content level of education of the deaf and children with diminished hearing (Ukrainian language (6-7 grades), geography (6-7 grades), work training (6-7 classes), Mathematics (Grade 6), visual arts ( 6-7 grades), basics of health (6-10 grades), the history of Ukraine (6-10 grades). Completed tested model of psychological and pedagogical support of children with mental and physical development in a comprehensive school.
