Possibility to employ temporary alloying by hidrogen for solid-state sintesis of Zr-1%Nb alloy via cost-efficient way of pressing and sintering of mixture of titanium hydride and niobium were investigated having as the aim to obtain final material with mechanical properties on the same level as after conventional technology of vacuum melting and thermomechanical processing. As a result of performed study it was established that even in condition just sfter sintering obtained alloy has strength by approximately 35% higher as compared with traditionally processed analogue, while some characteristics of plastisity may be a litlle lower.
