A purpose of work is determination of influence of the speed-up cooling of rolling railway wheels on a structure and complex of properties. Research methods of structure with the use of light, electronic microscopes and use methodics of quantitative structural analysis. Determination of mechanical properties of metal railway wheel is depending on the degree of strengthening. Researches are in-process conducted on influence of degrees hardened for the surfaces and strengthening from the separate heating on the complex properties of metal railway wheel during exploitation. The questions of development processes of increase grain austenite are considered at heating for the thermal strengthening of wheel on technology of the individual heating. Basic factors which determine the complex properties of metal railway wheel after strengthening heat treatment are certain. The estimation possibility of the use the speed-up cooling of metal is done to the rim after completion of his form at hot deformation. The results of this work will make basis of continuation of development of scientific bases of thermomechanical treatment of railway wheels, determination of parameters of treatment and dependency upon it complex of properties of metal.
