The subjects of this research are initial and initial-boundary problems for non-linear soliton equations, direct and inverse scattering problems and prblems of spectral theory, quantum hyperbolic spaces, the algebra of Laurent polynomials over the quantum plane and its symmetries, spherical unitary representations of infinite dimensional groups of matrices with entries in a complex algebra of functions, representations of infinite symmetric group and unitary group of a factor, Cantor dynamical systems. The outcome of this project are new methods for solving and investigating problems for soliton equations with stair-like initial data on the whole axis, with periodic boundary conditions on the half-axis, as well as the asymptotic behavior of their solutions under big time; problems of scattering theory and spectral theory; problems related to quantum bounded symmetric domains, namely, hyperbolic spaces, along with the associated harmonic analysis, as well as the quantum plane with its symmetries; classification problems for representations of infinite symmetric group determined by states, invariant with respect to the Young subgroup, problems of topological dynamics and ergodic theory.
