Producer strain of Escherichia coli, which produces protein kinase ASK1 was received and this enzyme in the preparative amounts was obtained. The virtual screening of compound collection toward ASK1 was performed and the values of free energy for formation of ASK1 complexes with inhibitors were calculated using umbrella sampling algorithm. Accordingly to the data of virtual screening, we have selected compounds for investigation of their inhibitory activity toward recombinant protein ASK1 and determined the functional activity of recombinant ASK1.5481
