Salicylate-deficient transformants NahG differ by higher base tolerance to salt stress as compared with wild type plants. The activity of antioxidant enzymes in treated with SNP plants transfomants NahG was higher as compared with untreated ones under salt stress. The induction of protective systems under NO in salicylate-deficient arabidopsis plants NahG indicates the essential role of alternative (salicylic acid accumulation independent) pathways of NO signal transduction in genetic apparatus during NO-dependent adaptive reactions formation.
