The work is devoted to development of mathematical models, methods and algorithms for leaks detection in gas mains at stationary modes of their operation. The classification of the known methods for leaks detection and identification in gas mains are proposed and the methods of computational monitoring in detail are considered. With the use of the mathematical model, that describes the dynamics of mass and momentum transfer in gas flow, principles for leak detection in a gas main at stationary modes of its operation are proposed. Direct and inverse problems for leak detection and location are formulated. Effective algorithms for solving of the formulated problems are developed and tested on specific examples. Quantitative evaluation of precisions of the developed methods is fulfilled. A structure of a system for leakage detection and location in gas mains at stationary mode of operation is developed with the use of suggested methods. The developed methods and algorithms can be used for creation of a system for leak detection and location as a part of supervisory control system of gas transmission system
