The aim of the research is to develop new and perfect existing methods and means for improving the safety of railway automation devices and their scientific justification on the basis of theoretical and experimental research. Scientific novelty: developed and tested rational methods measuring the parameters of signal and traction currents in the rail circuits using modern measuring and recording tools with digital signal processing; formed and implemented the principles of software for measuring electrical parameters of track circuits by means of analog-to-digital converter DAQ Series; improved principle of decryption code by using modern technical devices and methods of digital signal processing that allows the development of ALS receiver with high probability of noisy signals reception; developed a scientific substantiation of the method of diagnosing electromagnetic normal operating DC relay through the analysis of the transient current curve in the windings when relay switching on and off; proposed and scientifically justified method of using sensors in the form of inductive loop to control the presence of vehicles in the area of the railway crossing.
