The scientific work is illuminated by the important role of urban water bodies in maintaining the quality of urban areas. The results of the harmful effects of ever-increasing anthropogenic load and environmental degradation in urban water bodies due to the reduction of biodiversity at all levels, loss of productive characteristics of the ecosystem and the ability to adequate self-purification. As a result of studies of selected model objects in Kiev system of reservoirs "Opechen": to assess the quality of water in them; especially the modern structure of water protection areas; designed templates and design engineering and biotechnical improvement of water protection zones of water bodies under urbolandshaftov; recommendations on environmental compensatory measures for water management in urban areas, aimed at regulating the economic activity and environmental management.
