The objective of the work - the development of existing and elaboration of new mathematical models and methods of investigation of layered thin-walled structure elements with imperfections which are in the fields of different physical nature (power, temperature, residual stress, etc.); elaboration of techniques and algorithms of determination and investigation of stress-strain state and strength assessment of these objects under the influence of static and dynamic operating loads. The methods of study - methods of composite mechanics and computational mathematics, direct and inverse problems of elasticity, thermoelasticity and elastico-plasticity. Constructed and reasonably the refined mathematical models of static and dynamic linear and nonlinear geometric deformation of structurally heterogeneous and composite plates and shells pliable to transversal shear deformation and compression with a minimum order solving systems of differential equations. The advanced finite element method scheme, particularly in mixed form, in respect to investigation of stress state research of layered shells and plates in the presence of imperfect contact areas at the interface to evaluate of bearing capacity are elaborated. The analytical and numerical methods for determining the stress state and amplitude-frequency characteristics for geometrically linear and nonlinear vibrations of elongated cylindrical panels and plates-strips are developed. Having used the refined shell theory, which takes into account the transverse shear, and -model analogue, the elastico-plastic problems on limit equilibrium of the shells made of orthotropic or functionally graded materials with internal cracks is reduced to elastic problem. The latter is reduced to a system of nonlinear singular integral equations. On the basis of complex potentials the stressed state of piecewise-homogeneous plates with surface interphase cracks is studied with regard for plastic zones on their extension. The problem on steady state vibrations of orthotropic doubly curved panel with arbitrary number of cutouts is solved using the refined theory of shells, which takes into account transverse shear deformation and all inertial components. In the framework of the classical theory of rods the processes of shock waves propagation in the composite rod with visco-plastic external resistance are investigated. The results obtained are used to estimate the strength during the design shell structures rocket and space technology of laminated composite materials in Yuzhnoye State Design Office and Prykarpattransgas Management Office of Main Gas Pipelines for evaluation of dynamic behavior of the elements of pipelines.
