The properties of block-triangular divisors, the greatest common divisors and the least common multiples of matrices over the finitely generated principal ideal rings are described. The structure of the solutions of the matrix linear unilateral and bilateral equations with one and two variables are investigated. The particular solutions with certain properties are pointed out. The uniqueness conditions of such solutions are established.The classification of functional bases of invariants for low dimensional non-conjugate subalgebras of Lie algebra of the Poincare group P(1,4) as well as of reduced equations for the eikonal equation are performed.
