The aim of the project is the development of physical and chemical bases of technology for the nanostructured zinc oxide arrays, and also SnS and Cu2ZnSnS4 films with controlled structural characteristics and electrical properties. Moreover, the purpose of the project includes the development on the base of new structural and technological solutions of QD-sensitized hybrid solar cells, antireflective coatings for solar cells and selective coatings for thermal collectors. Methods of research are comprehensive analysis of technological modes, structural, optical and electrical properties of the nanostructured zinc oxide layers as well as SnS and Cu2ZnSnS4 films. The main scientific and technical results are the following. For the providing the self-cleaning effect the mechanism of the influence of pulse mode of the electrochemical deposition on a wettability of ZnO surfaces is defined, and the optimum electrodeposition conditions for the zinc oxide layers are determined. For the first time we offered a processing of the ZnO nanostructures in an ultraviolet radiation for the reverse transition of the ZnO surface from high hydrophobicity to hydrophilicity. Extra thin SnS layers obtained for the creation of a new design of hybrid solar cell with extra thin SnS absorber (ETA SC). The base heterosystem for ETA SC was created by use pulsed electrodeposited ZnO nanostructured arrays, which are coated by the extra thin SnS layers and by the wide gap p-CuSCN thin films by means of Successive Ionic Layer Adsorption and Reaction (SILAR) method. A new composition for thin film kesterite solar cell was developed on the base of Cu2ZnSnS4 layer obtained by two economic liquid-phase methods, namely by the electrodeposition and SILAR.
