The purpose is improving the hygienic standards of maximum permissible workload of school students. It was established that during the period of studying in school prevalence of diseases increases by 1.9 times; the percentage of students with neurotic disorders by 2.2 times; self-esteem health reduced by 33 %. It was determined that a significant proportion of school-age children lack functional reserve to counteract fatigue. According to terms of mental capacity at the beginning of the school day 14,4 - 63,8 % of children get severe fatigue, what indicates the presence of desynchronosis. On the mental capacity and fatigue of students are influenced the factors such (in order of decreasing isolated influence factor) the difficulty of school subjects, the number of classes per week, morbidity, schedule, duration of walk, duration of doing homework, duration of screen time, the level of physical activity, duration of sleep, diet. The rank scale of complexity of school subjects for 1-11 grades students is developed. The proportion of difficult school subjects from 1st to 11th grade increases from 33 to 80%. During the period from 2005 to 2015 the proportion of students with severe fatigue increased from 22,2 to 52,6 %. However, the proportion of children increased with deficiency of sleep by 37 %, homework lasting more than 2.5 hours by 64,1 %, low levels of physical activity by 16-18 %. It is proved that the maximum permissible workload for 1st grade students is 20 hours per week, 2nd - 21, 3rd - 22, 4th - 23, 5th - 27, 6th -28, 7-9th - 30, 10-11th - 32. In order to eliminate the desynchronosis phenomenon is appropriate to shift the start of the school day for 1-4-graders from 8:30 to 9:00 am, 5-9-graders to 9:30-10:00 am, 10-11-graders to 10:00-10:30 am. It is relevant to revise the content of the State Standard of Basic Education to reduce the perception of school subjects as very difficult for students. It is proved that optimization of way of students living is topical problem with complying with the requirements concerning sleep duration, motion activity level, CRT time, outdoor air stay for providing of students working capacity.
