This research aims to develop scholar, theoretical, and methodological principles of modern encyclopedias' creation of the Great Ukrainian Encyclopedia (GUE), promote academic and educational work in Ukraine, and popularize advanced knowledge among the wide audience. The historical comparative, systematic, structural, and functional methods were used. The distinguished structural features of contemporary encyclopedias were highlighted. The research work in 2016 was summarized in the analytical materials on methodological principles of the modern Great Ukrainian Encyclopedia (GUE). The study aims to develop scientific conceptual basis of the content and form of bibliographic database volumes 2 and 3 of the Great Ukrainian Encyclopedia. Realization of this goal will enable the well to attract potential Ukrainian intellectuals to creation VUE, will promote research and improve education in Ukraine, promotion of modern knowledge among the general public. Formation encyclopedic dictionary edition encyclopedia development tools (selection criteria slogans on specific areas, the problem of categorization slogans, bibliographies, etc.), scientific content encyclopedias are fundamental aspects of the concept of the Great Ukrainian Encyclopedia. Defined the concept of scientific content and formation bibliographic database volumes 2 and 3 of the Great Ukrainian Encyclopedia. Formed and updated encyclopedic dictionary publication. Scientific results are presented in the form of three reports on the stage of the topics of the Final Report, the concept of scientific content and formation bibliographic database volumes 2 and 3 of the Great Ukrainian Encyclopedia. All results of scientific work are applied component and can be applied in the fields of science, education, publishing.
