The expressions for the resonant cross-section of two-photon electron-positron pair production in a magnetic field have been found with account of polarization of the particles. The phenomenological formula has been obtained for the probability of ionization in asymmetric heavy ion collisions. The energy loss of a charged particle in electron gas depending on the charge sign has been obtained in the second Born approximation. It is shown that the quantum-field methods allow to take into account the temperature dependence of the energy loss of a heavy charged particle in electron gas.
