The object of study - the selection of smooth brome-grass (Bromopsis inermis (Leys, Holub). Aim of work - On the basis of the use of biological features to create plant-breeding material that would have a complex of economic-valuable signs: the high productivity of dry substance - 12-13 t/ha, seed - 0,70-0,75 t/ha and high drought- was marked and by a frost-resistance. Research methods are a method of polikrosi hybridization, selection of plants, field and laboratory experiments, productive test, statistical analysis. Basic results of research - On the signs of drought-resistingness and parameters of height, development of plants and productivity ofagrocoenosiss five numbers(9, 30, 37, 40, 53) that prevailed a sort-standard substantially are distinguished. Appeared № most perspective 40, that was characterized by rapid survival clonals, intensive height and development of plants and collection of green mass of 42,0 t/ha, dry substance - 9,4 t/ha. The dry substance of biomasa of the first hay-crop contained raw to protein of a 17,2 %, fat of a 3,2 % cellulose 29,3 % ash 8,3 %, second - according to 14,1 %, 3,7 %, 28,0 %, 10,0 % .
