The pump НСТ5-2 provides the following functions: - expense of fuel from the tanks of airplane and the fuel supply to main engine; - supply of fuel to auxiliary engine; - supply of fuel to the jet pump; - рumping fuel from one tank to another. The pump is equipped with the automatic system of disconnecting at an overheat.When any part of the pump is heated to the temperature 200°С a pump becomes disconnected. After that the pump must be replaced. The pump НСТ consists of electric motor of alternating current, diffuser and collection with the reticulated filter. On the shaft of electric motor mounted axial wheel with impeller. In the collection contains a drain valve and o-rings. The drain valve is for draining small residues of the working fluid, or condensate. The pump is designed for operation on fuel TС-1, РT, T-2 or foreign analogues in accordance with the "List of foreign fuels and lubricants recommended for use on aircraft of domestic production" to РTM Ц2-2009. The НСT power is supplied from the on-board system of alternating current with tension 115/200 V with a frequency of 400 Hz.
