The purpose of the study is theoretical and methodological problems of the analysis of legal ideology as a phenomenon characterized, in contrast to political ideology, features of a monistic nature, is a phenomenon of social consensus. The legal ideology substantiates and assesses the existing legal relations or those that are at the stage of formation. In the development of legal ideology involved specialists of different specializations: lawyers, political scientists, economists, but the leading role nevertheless belongs to scientists. It is they who are called to form the doctrinal principles of legal ideology that take into account the specific historical conditions of society, the balance of power, the level of social consciousness, social psychology, the will and interests of both the majority and minority, as well as other factors.
