A comprehensive technical approach to create transparent and combined protection of critical parts of the hull structures of vehicles through the use of armoured repair kits of respective protection levels is suggested. Tasks for helicopter Mи-8 capsule and optical devices protection are considered. Pilot samples of transparent armoured units of classes CK3 - CK6, as well as model of electrically heated glass are designed and manufactured. Units are tested under impact loading with different caliber and splinters. Recommendations on the design and technology of transparent units and systems of transparent armour with a variable level of protection are made.5481
