Based on the estimates of potential greenhouse gas emission reductions, found that totality in sectors "Energy" and "Industrial processes" can significantly reduce GHG emissions in 2050 may reach 25-40% from those of GHG emissions in 1990 while also should be abbreviated the annual cost of functioning of the energy system. Proved that a prudent long-term policy of introducing energy efficiency measures energy consumption, energy saving at all levels of the energy flows in the country, promoting the use of renewable energy, greening energy and transport etcetera allows not only to take the path of low-carbon development, but also significantly improve the economic and energy security of Ukraine.
