The process of formation of future foreign language teachers' professional competence on the basis of blended learning and establishing prerequisites for the optimization of the educational process in Ukraine has been studied in the research. The methodology of future foreign language teachers' professional competence formation has been determined in the framework of realization of Tempus project № 544161- TEMPUS - 1-2013-1-UK - TEMPUS -JPCR Aston University "Developing The Teaching of European Languages: Modernising Language Teaching through the Development of Blended Masters Programmes". The methodological model of future foreign language teachers' professional competence formation on the basis of blended learning has been developed.
